Daylan was born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where he followed in his father's footsteps, developing a love for sports and coaching. After exploring various career options, he pursued a leadership role in the Canadian Armed Forces as an infantryman. In 2012, Daylan served in Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment. His experience in the military instilled a strong work ethic and a determination to succeed.

After his military service, Daylan completed a two-year Business Administration program with a concentration in Financial Services, leading to a brief career in the banking industry. However, his passion for sports and coaching led him to establish Hole9Golf, a golf performance center focused on transforming average golfers into athletes.

In 2020, Daylan passed his PAT and became an official member of the PGA of Canada. His extensive education through the TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) network has been instrumental in his coaching methodology. He holds TPI Golf Level 3, Junior, Medical, Fitness and Power Level 2 Instructor certifications, allowing him to make precise changes to golfers' swings based on their physical capabilities. Daylan's expertise lies in identifying and addressing areas of weakness in mobility and stability, helping golfers build a swing tailored to their bodies.

As a coach and an athlete, Daylan works hard to maintain his competitive edge, understanding the struggles of his athletes firsthand. Over the past four years, he has played as a professional in PGA Tour Canada events, qualifiers for the PGA Tour America, the East Coast Pro Tour, and has achieved numerous top-ten finishes in PGA Atlantic events.

With the launch of new platforms, Daylan will personally guide each new athlete through their swing analysis and reassessments, leveraging his deep knowledge in biomechanics and coaching through limitations to enhance their performance and enjoyment of the game.
